April 11, Cai Rui, executive general manager of the Chemical Engineering Institute, and his team visited the construction site of the Guangyue Electrochemicals Co., Ltd. project in Jiangmen City, which involves the relocation of an 81,000-ton-per-year caustic soda production facility. They provided on-site guidance for production work.
Cai Rui and his team went deep into the project site, conducted an on-site inspection of the overall project situation, and meticulously investigated and inspected the design quality of the project, the quality and delivery status of the process equipment purchased by the institute, the quality of installation and construction, progress, and safety production. A project promotion meeting was held, where members from various positions in the project department gave detailed reports on the design, procurement, construction, and risk control aspects of the project. It was emphasized that as a professional design institute with considerable mature achievements in the domestic caustic soda field, the Chemical Engineering Institute enjoys a good reputation for technology in the caustic soda sector. All staff of the company should firmly focus on the "energy + chemical" dual main businesses, concentrate superior forces, and build core competitiveness around the underlying commercial logic, systematic solutions, and process packages. This project is located in the Zhu Xi New Materials Gathering Area in Gujing Town, Xinhui District, Jiangmen City, Guangdong Province. Upon completion, the project will achieve an annual production capacity of 81,000 tons of caustic soda and corresponding products such as hydrochloric acid, sodium hypochlorite, chlorinated paraffin wax, and hydrogen. The Chemical Engineering Institute adheres to the principles of "prioritizing safe design, core green design, innovative design as core competitiveness, and intelligent design as the direction of development." It comprehensively optimizes design, promptly addresses on-site construction issues, and fully ensures the smooth progress of this project.
As a provincial-level chemical engineering design institute, a provincial specialized and new enterprise, and a provincial "production-education integration" postgraduate joint training base, the Chemical Engineering Institute is a professional design institute with many mature achievements in the domestic caustic soda field, enjoying a good reputation for technology in the caustic soda sector. It boasts a large number of commissioned projects: After multiple expansions, Jiantou (Hengyang) Industry’s ion membrane caustic soda production capacity has reached 420,000 tons/year, becoming a large-scale chlor-alkali production base in Central South China. The design uses advanced and energy-efficient production processes and equipment, and the waste heat, wastewater, and waste gas generated during the production process are all treated and recycled; It has successively undertaken projects such as the 250-ton/day caustic soda preparation system for the TjiwiKimia chlor-alkali plant in Indonesia (Boscheke, Guangxi), the 150,000-ton/year zero-distance ion membrane all-halogen alkali upgrading project in Qianjiang City, the 200,000-ton/year ion membrane caustic soda project in Ruyuan, Guangdong Province, and the 300,000-ton/year ion membrane caustic soda project in Changxing Island, Dalian Haiye Petrochemical, encompassing numerous international and domestic projects.
