The Institute of Chemical Engineering organized and held the kickoff meeting for the preliminary design of the integrated “Phosphorus-Titanium-Iron-Lithium” coupling project in Kaiyang, Guizhou.

On January 16, the Institute of Chemical Engineering organized a kickoff meeting for the preliminary design of the utility engineering (Phase I) of the “Phosphorus-Titanium-Iron-Lithium” coupled-cycle integrated project in Kaiyang, Guizhou. The meeting brought together representatives from clients—including Phosphorus & Chemicals Zhonghe, Zhonghe Phosphorus, Phosphorus & Chemicals Zhongkeng, and CNNC Titanium Dioxide—as well as several design institutes to discuss the project’s progress. Cai Rui, Executive General Manager of the Institute of Chemical Engineering, delivered the keynote speech on behalf of the overall design institute, while Wen Hui, Executive Deputy Head of the Kaiyang Project Preparatory Team and Party Secretary and Chairman of both Phosphorus & Chemicals Zhonghe and Phosphorus & Chemicals Zhongkeng at Guizhou Phosphorus Group, gave the concluding remarks.

The Kaiyang Economic Development Zone in Guizhou visited the Institute of Chemical Industry for a working exchange.

On January 12, Yang Yaobin, member of the Party Working Committee and deputy director of the Management Committee of the Kaiyang Economic Development Zone in Guizhou, led a delegation—including representatives from relevant departments of the Kaiyang Economic Development Zone, Guizhou Phospho-Chemical Zhonghe Materials Co., Ltd., and Guizhou Zhonghe Phospho-Chemical Materials Co., Ltd.—to visit the Institute of Chemical Engineering for a working exchange. Lin Zhiyong, Party Secretary and General Manager of the Institute of Chemical Engineering, Cai Rui, Executive General Manager, and heads of relevant departments attended the meeting.

The comprehensive utilization and upgrade project for sulfur slag, with an annual capacity of 80,000 tons of sodium hydrosulfite, has successfully completed construction and passed acceptance inspection.

On December 30, the sulfur slag comprehensive utilization and 80,000-ton-per-year sodium hydrosulfite upgrading and renovation project—designed by the Institute of Chemical Engineering—successfully completed its construction and acceptance inspection. This project is a key initiative to actively respond to the nation’s “Great Protection of the Yangtze River” strategy and implement the task of “shutting down, upgrading, relocating, or transforming” chemical enterprises within one kilometer along the river. Through technological upgrades, the project has been developed into a modern chemical demonstration project that is green, safe, low-carbon, intelligent, and sustainable.

The general contracting project for the Huangjiaogou Wastewater Treatment Plant in Renhuai City has successfully passed acceptance inspection.

On December 25, the general contracting project for the Huangjiaogou Wastewater Treatment Plant in Renhuai City successfully passed acceptance testing, bringing the construction phase to a formal conclusion and providing yet another robust support for the ecological barrier of China’s “City of Liquor.”

A delegation led by Luo Qiang, Deputy Director of the Changsha Municipal Science and Technology Bureau, visited the Institute of Chemical Engineering.

On December 22, Luo Qiang, Deputy Director of the Changsha Municipal Science and Technology Bureau, along with relevant officials from the Yuhua District Science and Technology Bureau, visited the Institute of Chemical Engineering to exchange views on topics such as technological innovation and the reporting and statistical collection of enterprise R&D expenses. The meeting was chaired by Cai Rui, Executive General Manager of the company. Also in attendance were Zhou Nianan, Chief Engineer and Deputy General Manager; Yang Fangwen, Deputy General Manager; and heads of relevant departments.

The Institute of Chemical Engineering held a special training session on the “Three-Level Prevention and Control System for Accident Emergency Response.”

On the morning of December 18, a special training session titled “Planning and Construction of a Three-Level Prevention and Control System for Accident-Generated Wastewater in Chemical Industrial Parks,” jointly organized by the Business Planning Department of the Institute of Chemical Engineering and the Municipal Branch Institute, was successfully held at Dongtang Building. The training was chaired by Yuan Zhuchin, Assistant to the General Manager of the Institute of Chemical Engineering and Director of the Municipal Branch Institute. More than 30 professional designers from relevant departments—including the First Institute of Chemical Engineering, the Second Institute of Chemical Engineering, the Architecture Institute, the Municipal Branch Institute, and the Institute of Chemical Engineering Planning—participated in the learning and exchange session.
