To strengthen and solidify the safety production responsibilities of all employees, continuously enhance their competence in occupational health and safety management and their level of occupational health protection, and lay a robust foundation for intrinsic enterprise safety, the Chemical Research Institute organized a company-wide specialized training on occupational health and safety on June 30. Lin Zhiyong, Party Secretary and General Manager, attended the training and delivered a speech. Chief Engineer and Deputy General Manager Zhou Nannan, Deputy General Manager Yang Fangwen, and Assistant to the General Manager Yuan Zhuqin participated to provide guidance, while more than 160 department heads and institute employees took part in the session.
Lin Zhiyong delivered a training address, highlighting the grave safety‑production situation in the chemical‑engineering design sector. He emphasized that occupational health and safety is the lifeline, bottom line, and red line of corporate development. As the upstream link in the chemical industry, every detail in design drawings, every optimization of engineering schemes, and every rigorous review directly impacts the intrinsic safety of projects, the company’s brand reputation, and the occupational health and safety of its employees—issues that must never be neglected or taken lightly. He urged all employees to maintain constant vigilance regarding safety, systematically fortify their safety mindset, and ensure that each department rigorously assigns and fulfills safety responsibilities, refining job‑specific safety duties and integrating safety management into every stage of the design process. Taking this training as an opportunity, he called for regular safety education, self‑inspections for potential hazards, and proactive risk‑prevention measures, thereby comprehensively strengthening the enterprise’s safety‑management foundation and safeguarding the company’s high‑quality, sustainable development through robust safety‑management practices.

This training session was delivered by Li Yong, Chief Engineer of the Science, Technology, Quality and Information Department (Safety Management Department). Grounded in the practical realities of the Chemical Research Institute’s operations, the session focused on occupational health and safety risks specific to design roles. It drew on carefully selected, industry‑wide典型案例 of serious accidents to analyze their root causes and the design‑management gaps they revealed. The presentation also provided a detailed overview of common safety risk points in the chemical design process, as well as the relevant legal, regulatory, and corporate‑standard compliance requirements. Through this approach, all participants gained a clear understanding of the severe consequences of workplace accidents, the critical importance of safety, and the rigorous responsibilities inherent in their respective positions, ensuring that lessons learned from these cases inform improved practices and drive meaningful corrective actions.

Through training, the institute has further strengthened all employees’ awareness of safety production red lines, their sense of responsibility, and their protective consciousness, effectively enhancing their overall ability to fulfill safety duties and improving occupational health and safety protection standards. Moving forward, the Chemical Research Institute will continue to conduct regular, systematic safety awareness campaigns and specialized training, continuously refine its safety management system, detail safety control measures across all processes, and routinely identify and address various risks and hazards. This will ensure that safety management efforts are deepened and made more concrete, laying a solid foundation for sustained safe production throughout the year and providing robust safety safeguards for the enterprise’s high-quality development.
