On June 25, the Chemical Engineering Institute organized a training session on water supply and drainage engineering. Relevant personnel from the Municipal Engineering Branch and the Second Chemical Engineering Branch attended, while Yuan Zhuqin, Assistant to the General Manager of the Chemical Engineering Institute and Director of the Municipal Engineering Branch, was present to provide guidance.
The meeting focused on the company’s current operational status. The review comments on the construction drawings and the evaluation opinions on the basic (preliminary) design for projects such as the “Kangping Wind‑Solar‑Hydrogen Green Methanol Project” and the “Dexiang Manganese‑Based New Materials Project” were thoroughly analyzed and discussed. Participants engaged in study and deliberation based on these comments, with a focus on strengthening professional design capabilities for petrochemical projects. In response to issues raised during project operations, the water supply and drainage discipline will further refine its modular design approach by expanding upon the existing design specifications and the modularization of certain tank modules, adding detailed construction details, standardized practices, and system‑diagram modularity. Throughout the session, participants demonstrated keen enthusiasm, actively voiced their views, and shared their perspectives and suggestions.

This training session marks the fifth centralized learning event organized by the Institute of Chemical Engineering this week: on Monday, the HVAC and Thermal Power departments held a thematic sharing session on “Calculation, Selection, and Layout of Rotary Compensators for Heating Pipe Networks”; on Tuesday, the Process Engineering department conducted a training session on “Review of Design Quality and Capability Enhancement for Process Engineers”; the Structural Engineering department hosted a review and summary of Boco‑series projects, along with an exchange on foundation calculations and analyses for steel‑structure main equipment and high‑tower installations; and on Wednesday, the Instrumentation and Control department focused on studying the criteria for identifying major production safety hazards in chemical and hazardous‑chemical manufacturing and operating enterprises.
The systematic implementation of discipline-specific, topic‑based training has established a tiered, category‑driven technical learning platform that delivers targeted support, closely aligned with core operational and production processes such as project design, structural analysis, quality control, and workplace safety. By reviewing key projects, dissecting practical challenges, studying industry standards, and sharing technical expertise, the program effectively addresses technical bottlenecks, strengthens design capabilities, and enables all technical staff to draw insights from case studies and foster mutual learning through exchanges and discussions. Through a sustained, institutionalized training framework, the institute has further solidified its technical design foundation, reinforced a shared commitment to quality and safety, and cultivated a vibrant culture of continuous improvement and professional excellence. This robust talent‑building effort underpins the high‑quality execution of the company’s projects, driving ongoing enhancements in business performance and supporting the institute’s steady, high‑quality growth.
