Hunan Chemical Engineering Design Institute Co., Ltd. (formerly known as Hunan Chemical and Pharmaceutical Design Institute) (hereinafter referred to as “the Institute” or “we”) was founded in 1958, formerly known as the Design Institute of the Hunan Chemical and Petroleum Industry Bureau, the Design Institute of the Hunan Chemical Industry Department, and Hunan Chemical Industry Design Institute, and renamed as Hunan Chemical and Pharmaceutical Design Institute after merging with Hunan Pharmaceutical Design Institute in 2001. In 2017, we joined Hunan Xiangtou Holdings Group Co., Ltd., a large backbone enterprise in Hunan Province, and were renamed as Hunan Chemical Engineering Design Institute Co., Ltd. In April 2020, we joined China Energy Engineering Group Hunan Electric Power Design Institute Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Energy China Hunan Institute”), one of the third national pilot units for mixed ownership reform, and became a central enterprise in Hunan. In 2022, relying on the Institute, Hunan Energy Administration set up the Hunan Oil & Gas Development Research Institute, which is positioned as the oil & gas consulting agency and decision-making think tank of Hunan Energy Administration to serve the oil & gas development strategy of Hunan Province in an all-round way. Founded in 1958, Energy China Hunan Institute is subordinate to Energy China, a central enterprise listed among the Fortune Global 500, and has obtained the Class-A design qualification in the electric power industry, Class-A comprehensive engineering survey qualification, Class-A engineering cost consulting qualification and Class-A engineering consulting qualification. The Institute has introduced a large number of highly qualified professional, technical and management personnel led by professor-level senior engineers, doctors and masters, including 93 professor-level senior engineers and senior titles, and 78 doctoral and master’s degree holders, with a total of 150 certificates of various types of registered engineers.
