Chasing dreams in youth, building momentum to move forward. To demonstrate the company’s commitment to employee well-being and accelerate new hires’ integration into the organization’s growth framework, the Chemical Engineering Institute organized an onboarding training week from July 7 to 9, which included visits to chemical enterprises in Jinshi, Changde, as well as a welcome symposium for newly recruited staff.
In line with the Chemical Engineering Institute’s development goals and human resources management needs, the Institute has continuously strengthened its talent pool, recruiting 15 new employees over the past year—three through external recruitment and twelve recent master’s graduates from the class of 2026. These hires span disciplines including process engineering, water supply and drainage, automation, structural engineering, site planning, equipment design, and thermal engineering, with a strong overall academic profile and high qualifications, all coming from top-tier universities such as Tongji University, Xiamen University, Hunan University, East China University of Science and Technology, Guangxi University, Beijing University of Science and Technology, Xiangtan University, Nanjing Tech University, and Changsha University of Science and Technology—leading institutions recognized under the Double First-Class Initiative and renowned for their engineering programs.
On July 7, at the First Conference Room on the 22nd floor of the Dongtang Building of China Energy Engineering Group, a comprehensive training program was conducted for new employees. Drawing on the Chemical Research Institute’s current development and operational status, the training covered key areas including its historical evolution, strategic positioning, talent development, project management, and safety education. The aim was to equip new staff with a solid understanding of the Institute’s production processes, business operations, management practices, and project execution, thereby laying a strong foundation and providing clear guidance as they transition into their roles and chart their career paths.

On July 8, the company organized a site visit for new employees to the Changde Jinshi Chemical Industrial Park, where they toured the bio‑fermentation technology industrial project of Hunan Lier Biotechnology Co., Ltd. and the 15,000‑ton‑per‑year mineral‑medicine formulation project of Wukuang Changhua Technology (Hunan) Co., Ltd.—both projects designed by the Chemical Engineering Institute. This hands‑on experience allowed the new hires to observe the projects’ operations on site, laying a solid foundation for their future involvement in construction and implementation.

On July 9, the Institute of Chemical Engineering convened a symposium to welcome new employees joining the company in 2026. Attending the meeting were Party Secretary and General Manager Lin Zhiyong, Chief Engineer and Deputy General Manager Zhou Nannan, Deputy General Manager Yang Fangwen, heads of various departments, representatives of young employees, and all newly hired staff.

At the meeting, the new employees each introduced themselves, expressing their commitment to excel in their roles, engage in proactive learning, and work diligently to quickly integrate into both the institute’s professional and personal life, thereby contributing to its ongoing development. Two young employee representatives shared their experiences of growth and work at the Institute, along with words of encouragement. Heads of the relevant departments provided an overview of their respective units, highlighting the specific measures they have implemented to foster talent, enabling the new hires to gain a more comprehensive understanding of their departments.
Company leaders Zhou Nannan and Yang Fangwen, drawing on their combined experience of more than 30 years in the chemical industry, emphasized—based on the specific demands of technical roles—that new employees should strive to enhance their professional expertise, cultivate sound work habits, and firmly embrace a service-oriented mindset. They expressed strong encouragement and high expectations, urging new hires to rise quickly to become key technical contributors within the company.
Party Secretary and General Manager Lin Zhiyong delivered a concluding address, extending a warm welcome on behalf of the Chemical Engineering Institute’s Party Committee to the newly hired employees. He briefly outlined the current external environment, the key characteristics of industry development, and the Institute’s progress. Since joining the Hunan Institute, the Chemical Engineering Institute has achieved rapid, high‑quality growth. In implementing its talent‑driven strategy, the Institute is advancing a development vision that places process engineering at the core while fostering collaborative advancement across multiple disciplines. Addressing the new recruits, he offered several pieces of advice: First, the enterprise is committed to its employees and holds great expectations; employees, in turn, should place their trust in the company. Second, cherish every opportunity and remain grateful; serving our clients means serving the Institute, and caring for the Institute is ultimately caring for oneself. Third, cultivate steadfastness in your work—be patient in the face of solitude, demonstrate unwavering perseverance, and maintain an indomitable spirit. Fourth, strive to be a source of positive energy, proactive and ambitious, with self‑awareness and a strong sense of responsibility. Fifth, set lofty aspirations and pursue them with sustained effort. Finally, he called on all relevant departments to strengthen employee training and development, paying close attention to their growth and progress.
