The School of Chemical Engineering conducted a work exchange and a major safety inspection of the Huangjiaogou wastewater treatment project in Renhuai City.
On April 15, the Chemical Engineering Institute went to Renhuai City to conduct an exchange on the zero-carbon park plan and the construction of the park's wastewater treatment plant in the Ronghua Industrial Park. Huang Tao, member of the Standing Committee of the Renhuai Municipal Committee and deputy secretary of the Party group of the municipal government, director of the Renhuai Economic Development Zone Management Committee; Chen Shengzuo, deputy director; Liu Xia, senior consultant of the Nuclear Energy Committee of China Energy Engineering Group Hunan Institute; Lin Zhiyong, Party secretary and general manager of the Chemical Engineering Institute; Cai Rui, executive general manager; Zhou Niannan, chief engineer and deputy general manager; and relevant responsible persons from the Carbon Neutrality Institute participated in the exchange.

At the meeting, both sides conducted in-depth exchanges on the background and significance of the zero-carbon park, the leading role of park construction planning, system construction, implementation steps, and the wastewater treatment plan for the park's supporting infrastructure wastewater project.
Huang Tao affirmed and thanked the Chemical Engineering Institute for the achievements and technical support it has provided since the project's construction. He stated that the Renhuai Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government attach great importance to the project's development, which is a key driver for promoting high-quality development of the park's industry. All levels of departments will provide full cooperation to jointly create a benchmark for government-enterprise cooperation in the future.
On April 16, Lin Zhiyong, secretary of the Party committee and general manager, led a team to conduct a major safety inspection of the Huangjiaogou under-construction liquor wastewater general contracting project, urging project progress, promoting project construction, and simultaneously improving project construction efficiency while ensuring project safety. He also fully affirmed the achievements and contributions of project personnel to project construction. The closer the project gets to key nodes, the more we must work hard and not slacken off, fully ensuring the quality of the project.
