On February 10, the Public Equipment Institute of the Chemical Engineering Institute held a mobilization meeting for the start of work in 2025. This meeting comprehensively reviewed the work of 2024, deeply summarized experiences, and carefully planned the work layout for the new year, gathering strength to promote the sustainable development of the Chemical Engineering Institute. The meeting was chaired by Director Zhong Yanming, and all employees of the Public Equipment Institute attended the meeting.
In the past year, the Public Equipment Institute has achieved significant results in project execution and talent cultivation. In project execution, over 50 design projects and various technical and economic tasks for 180 projects were efficiently completed throughout the year, with all projects delivered on time, demonstrating excellent project management capabilities and professional technical levels. Among them, the flexible peak-shaving transformation project of the electric boiler at Datang Suihua Thermal Power Co., Ltd. and the EPC project of the high-pressure electrode steam boiler system at Zouping Hongli Thermal Power Co., Ltd. successfully connected to the grid, marking a major breakthrough for the Public Equipment Institute in the field of electric boiler thermal storage peak-shaving, and accumulating valuable experience for the Chemical Engineering Institute in this field. In terms of talent cultivation, 1 registered public equipment engineer (HVAC), 1 first-level registered cost engineer, and 1 first-level cost engineer were added, further optimizing the team's talent structure and providing solid talent support for business expansion.
The Safety Evaluation Center also achieved significant business breakthroughs last year. With professional strength and unremitting efforts, it successfully participated in the initial process verification work of two projects, breaking the market pattern and demonstrating the strong development momentum of the Chemical Engineering Institute in the field of safety evaluation.
While affirming past achievements, Zhong Yanming also clearly pointed out the problems existing in the department in 2024. Due to the numerous specialties within the department, there are deficiencies in internal technical connections, which to some extent restricts work efficiency and quality. In response to these issues, department employees actively offered suggestions: it was recommended to emphasize research project applications to enhance the team's technical research and development capabilities, providing strong technical support and innovative ideas for business development; to advocate for mentor-mentee cooperation for mutual progress, leveraging the rich experience of senior employees to help new employees grow quickly, passing on professional skills and experience; and to propose focusing on selecting young talents to serve as professional leaders, injecting new vitality into the team and stimulating innovative thinking and work enthusiasm.
Finally, regarding the work of the Public Equipment Institute in 2025, key directions were clearly pointed out:
First, strengthen training and professional integration. In the future, professional team leaders will lead the establishment of a normalized learning mechanism. Members are encouraged to learn relevant professional knowledge, and regular exchange and sharing meetings will be organized. For new technologies and new processes, experts from multiple fields will be invited to conduct comprehensive training, breaking down knowledge barriers and improving the team's technical level to meet the needs of multi-professional collaborative work.
Second, strictly control quality and professional integration review. Each specialty will formulate detailed and scientific drawing specifications and requirements based on its characteristics. The review process will be further improved, and a cross-professional review team will be established for cross-review to resolve design conflicts in advance. During project reviews, the collaboration situation among specialties will be analyzed, and a review report will be formed to improve work quality.
Third, enhance service and professional integration collaboration. Adhering to a client-centered approach, a multi-professional service team will be formed to provide one-stop solutions. When training employees in communication and problem-solving skills, cross-professional collaboration simulations will be integrated. During construction, all specialties will closely cooperate to control costs and safety, promoting the smooth implementation of projects.
The auspiciousness of the auspicious snake brings prosperity, and the new year opens a new journey. All members of the Public Equipment Institute will take this conference as a new starting point, work hand in hand, innovate boldly, and welcome future challenges with enthusiasm and solid actions, contributing new strength to the high-quality development of the Chemical Engineering Institute.
