Recently, the fifth session of the third council of the Hunan Petroleum and Chemical Industry Association was held in Changsha. Liu Weidong, a member of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy Director of the Hunan Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, attended the meeting, along with nearly 70 representatives and guests from government departments, industry associations, enterprises, and educational institutions. Lin Zhiyong, Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager of the Chemical Industry Institute, attended the meeting, and Zhou Nianan, Chief Engineer and Deputy General Manager, gave a special report on "Research on the Implementation Path of Carbon Peak in Hunan's Petrochemical Industry."
The meeting elected Xiao Zhiyong as the president of the fifth council and appointed You Jianfei as the secretary-general. In addition, the meeting reviewed and approved the work report of the third session of the fifth council, the supervisor's work report, and the financial income and expenditure report, supplemented the vice presidents, executive directors, and directors of the association, and voted to approve eleven internal management systems of the association, laying a solid foundation for the standardized development of the association.
The new president of the association, Xiao Zhiyong, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Hunan Haili High-tech Industry Group Co., Ltd., stated in his speech that he would unite and lead all members of the fifth council to inherit and promote fine traditions and styles, enhance the sense of mission, responsibility, and urgency, and focus on strengthening Party building to forge the soul of the association; improving service quality to bridge the gap between government and enterprises; taking on social responsibilities to practice public welfare missions; and building excellent teams to gather the strength of the association, in order to effectively carry out various tasks of the association and jointly write a new chapter in the development of the association.
During the communication session of the meeting, Yin Dulin, Director of the National Local Joint Engineering Laboratory for New Petrochemical Materials and Resource Utilization, gave a special lecture on "Strategic Considerations for the Refined Development of Hunan's Modern Petrochemical Industry." Zhou Nianan, Chief Engineer and Deputy General Manager of the Chemical Industry Institute, and Dai Feihong, Chairman of Hunan Runan Hazardous Material Internet of Things Technology Development Co., Ltd., respectively shared insights on the research of the implementation path for carbon peak in Hunan's petrochemical industry and the logistics of import and export trade of petrochemical products.
The convening of this meeting marks a solid step forward for the Hunan Petroleum and Chemical Industry Association in standardized construction and promoting the high-quality development of social organizations. As a bridge and link between enterprises and the government, the association will continuously standardize internal management, earnestly fulfill service responsibilities, focus on enterprise needs, and work together with the government, industry, and members to promote the high-quality development of Hunan's petrochemical industry.
