To further implement engineering thinking and in conjunction with the theme of the Party Day activities, from September 20 to 22, the Chemical Engineering Institute organized a field research and learning trip to the wastewater treatment project of Guizhou Series Liquor Industry, conducting a large discussion on engineering and themed Party Day activities. Company leaders, department heads, and party members participated in the learning and practice activities.
On September 20-21, in-depth field research and learning were conducted at the Huangping and Datang liquor industry wastewater treatment plants that have already been put into operation, as well as at the construction sites of the Huangjiao Gou and Chishui liquor industry wastewater treatment projects, holding a special meeting for large discussions on engineering.After gaining a deep understanding of the project operation, there was a strong sense of success, joy, and pride from the core proprietary technology of the Chemical Engineering Institute undertaking the design and EPC general contracting of the Guizhou Series Liquor Industry wastewater treatment project, deeply realizing the rapid growth and high-quality development driven by process technology in engineering construction capabilities.
Currently, domestic liquor industrial wastewater is characterized by high concentrations of pollutants in the influent, with COD concentrations ranging from 10,000 mg/L to 100,000 mg/L, and significant fluctuations in influent water volume, leading to a heavy impact load on the treatment system, making it the most challenging 'bottleneck' issue in domestic liquor industrial wastewater treatment. In December 2021, the Chemical Engineering Institute successfully overcame the domestic technical difficulties in treating high-concentration wastewater in the liquor industry using its core proprietary technology 'New Process for Treating Sauce-flavored Liquor Brewing Wastewater', officially unveiling and successfully meeting standards for the Datang Liquor Industry wastewater treatment plant in Maotai Town, Renhuai City, Guizhou Province, thus solving the 'bottleneck' environmental protection issues faced by liquor enterprises during production.



The special meeting for large discussions on engineering was hosted by Executive General Manager Cai Rui. The meeting focused on the theme of the 2024 Quality Month 'Strengthening Quality Support, Building a Quality Power Country', discussing how to further implement engineering thinking to enhance awareness and improve the engineering design and project management capabilities of party members and cadres. Wan Deqiang, Deputy Director of the Municipal Environmental Protection Bureau, provided a summary report on the Datang, Huangping, Huangjiao Gou, Jinsha, and Chishui series general contracting projects. Department heads and speaking representatives closely tied their speeches to the meeting theme and their respective work, discussing design quality and engineering thinking, while company leaders provided comments. Executive General Manager Cai Rui urged party leaders at all levels to quickly take action based on their observations, learnings, thoughts, and reflections from this learning activity, actively improve their theoretical and practical levels, enhance market response and service capabilities, and become party members and cadres who are willing to work, capable of working, and able to achieve results.
Party Secretary and General Manager Lin Zhiyong summarized the meeting, putting forward relevant requirements: First, party members and cadres at all levels should demonstrate a sense of responsibility, and departments should cooperate, work together, and diligently complete various work tasks. Second, there should be a systematic engineering mindset, always maintaining a service awareness and a proactive attitude, carefully managing every project. Third, recognize and grasp the development trends; especially during rapid growth phases, it is crucial to seize favorable development trends, remain vigilant, provide good service, roll up sleeves, work hard, and continuously pay attention to and encourage employees who are motivated and eager to grow.

On September 22, party members and cadres visited the Four Crossings of Chishui Memorial Hall and the site of the Zunyi Conference to carry out themed Party Day activities.They experienced important moments in revolutionary history and gained a deeper understanding of the glorious history, fine traditions, red spirit, and revolutionary culture of the Communist Party of China. Everyone deeply realized that only by staying true to our original aspirations, firming our ideals and beliefs, uniting as one, and working together with an indomitable spirit can we overcome various difficulties and challenges, achieving the beautiful vision of the Chemical Engineering Institute.

'The great wall is as solid as iron, and now we step forward anew.' Under the leadership of the Chemical Engineering Institute's Party Committee, the institute will continue to tackle technical challenges in the future, leading in various subfields such as organic chemistry, fine chemicals, and environmental protection, particularly in high-concentration liquor wastewater treatment, fully acidic hydrogen peroxide, high-purity manganese sulfate and manganese series, 1,3-propanediol, coatings, caustic soda, high-purity potassium nitrate, aluminum powder, insurance powder, and green hydrogen ammonia alcohol, while deeply cultivating chemical park planning, safety, and professional consulting. In the future, we will continuously enhance technical quality and service levels, creating a new situation of 'industry-leading, first-class in the country' for the chemical province and institute.
As a provincial-level chemical and pharmaceutical design institute, a provincial specialized and innovative enterprise, and a provincial production-education integration 'Graduate Joint Training Base', the Chemical Engineering Institute possesses strong and long-standing technical strength and foundation. In the design process of chemical projects, the Chemical Engineering Institute adheres to the principles of 'safety design as the primary task, green design as the core concept, innovative design as the core competitiveness, and intelligent design as the development direction', accumulating rich engineering experience in terms of process reliability, applicability, safety, as well as technical rationality, advancement, and different process technology routes, and has amassed a large number of mature project achievements and related distinctive technologies in process package design and experimental device engineering.
