From September 13 to 14, the 2024 Annual Conference of the Regional Cooperation Organization of Petrochemical Design Enterprises in Western Provinces and Cities, organized by the China Petroleum and Chemical Survey and Design Association, was successfully held at the Chemical Institute. The conference was hosted by the China Petroleum and Chemical Survey and Design Association and co-organized by the Chemical Institute and Hunan Anquan High-tech Co., Ltd. More than 20 participants attended the meeting, including Rong Shili, Executive Vice President of the China Petroleum and Chemical Survey and Design Association, Geng Yuxia, Director of the Association's Industry Service Department, Jia Deshan, Deputy Director, and heads of provincial chemical design institutes from member units of the regional cooperation organization. Luo Zhiqiang, Deputy General Manager of China Energy Construction Hunan Institute, attended and delivered a welcome speech, while Lin Zhiyong, Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager of the Chemical Institute, and Cai Rui, Executive General Manager, also participated.
During the meeting, member units of the regional cooperation organization reported and exchanged information on their production and operational achievements for 2023, as well as the production and operational situation from January to June 2024. Participants discussed the current state of the industry and market development, how to reform and innovate development mechanisms, how to change development methods, how to adjust the economic revenue structure to achieve business transformation and upgrading, how to deepen institutional and mechanism reforms to improve development quality and efficiency, and how to enhance the competitiveness and endogenous development motivation of each unit in the face of current industry difficulties and severe external conditions. The meeting affirmed the achievements of member units in 2023 and provided important opinions and suggestions regarding the market situation and the work objectives and tasks of each unit.
Rong Shili, Executive Vice President of the China Petroleum and Chemical Survey and Design Association, recognized the development achievements of member units in 2023 and expressed gratitude for their long-term support of the association's work. Regarding the future development of chemical design institutes in various provinces and cities, he offered several suggestions: first, in the face of transformation, how to create industrial advantages; second, to expand professional advantages and form differentiated development; third, to extend the business chain; fourth, to adapt to and enhance the thinking and operational model of general contracting.
The successful holding of this annual conference not only provided a platform for development and exchange for chemical design enterprises in various provinces and cities but also laid a foundation for the high-quality development of the petrochemical industry. By hosting this conference, the Chemical Institute engaged in technical exchanges with experts in the industry and learned from other outstanding enterprises in the sector, aiming to continuously improve technical quality and service levels in future high-quality development, and to create a new situation of 'industry-leading, domestically first-class' chemical provincial institutes.
