On the morning of September 7, in order to improve the design and quality level of chemical engineering pipelines, the Chemical and Pharmaceutical Institute organized a special training on "Pipeline Layout and Typical Cases." The deputy director of the Chemical and Pharmaceutical Institute, Kang Wenbin, hosted the training, with Deputy Chief Engineer Tang Lin and young employees from the Chemical and Pharmaceutical Institute and the Public Equipment Institute participating in the training.
At the special training meeting, Deputy Director Kang Wenbin first conducted a "5-Minute Industry Accident Warning" activity before the meeting, focusing on introducing safety accidents that occurred in the chemical industry both domestically and internationally in August, analyzing the causes of these accidents; he emphasized that chemical projects should prioritize inherent safety design, which is responsible to the company, to society, and to oneself. He urged all employees to take on the role of primary responsible person, to root the concept of safety design in their hearts and implement it in action, thereby promoting the qualitative improvement of design quality.
Yan Dawei presented the training content on "Pipeline Layout and Typical Cases," detailing the general requirements and working principles of piping specialties; he explained the piping principles and requirements for different types of equipment such as towers, reactors, and heat exchangers based on equipment categories; he discussed the piping principles and requirements for special conveying media such as liquefied hydrocarbons, hydrogen, and oxygen based on the classification of media transported in pipelines; he provided detailed information on the installation principles and requirements for different valves in pipelines, and strengthened everyone's understanding of theoretical knowledge through practical case analysis.
After the training, Deputy Director Kang Wenbin provided additional information on the "Pipeline Layout and Typical Cases" training, discussing the difficult and key points in the presentation materials with young employees, promoting mutual learning and progress.
Finally, Kang Wenbin presented the relevant exchange materials for participating as a member of the Safety Special Committee of the China Petroleum and Chemical Survey and Design Association at the 2024 annual meeting, focusing on the revision of the safety special guidelines and introducing the development and revision of standards and specifications related to fine chemicals.
As a provincial-level chemical and pharmaceutical design institute and a specialized and innovative enterprise, the Chemical Institute takes technology, quality, and capability level as the foundation for enterprise development. In the engineering project design process, it adheres to the principles of "safety design as the primary task, green design as the core concept, innovative design as the core competitiveness, and intelligent design as the development direction." This training activity focused on cultivating young employees' sense of responsibility and safety awareness, aiming to enhance the overall piping level of chemical processes. Through this training, young employees' sense of responsibility was enhanced, and they deeply realized the importance of safety design, becoming fully familiar with the content of piping work and further improving their understanding of the complexity and rigor of piping work.
