On February 28, the Public Equipment Division of the Institute of Chemical Engineering, in collaboration with the Safety Assessment Center, jointly held a development seminar for 2026. The meeting featured an in-depth discussion centered on a comprehensive review of 2025’s work, identification of underlying issues, and formulation of action plans for 2026, thereby further clarifying the direction of development and strengthening collaborative efforts. Cai Rui, Executive General Manager of the Institute of Chemical Engineering, attended the meeting and delivered a concluding speech. Director of the Public Equipment Division and Director of the Safety Assessment Center Zhong Yanming and Vice Dean Wang Zheng, along with all members of the various specialty groups within the branch institute and the Safety Assessment Center, attended the meeting.

At the outset of the meeting, each specialty conducted a work report. Heads of various specialties exchanged views on aspects such as work implementation, professional training, cross-disciplinary collaboration, and document review and approval, and proposed targeted measures. Wang Zheng pointed out that each specialist team should thoroughly identify existing problems and focus on implementing improvement measures. He urged the College of Public Utilities Equipment to accelerate the full-scale adoption of 3D collaborative technology and establish an engineering database; the Safety Assessment Center to strictly enforce the document review and approval record-card system and develop detailed business expansion plans, ensuring that all tasks are enhanced in quality and efficiency.

Zhong Yanming put forward five key requirements for the 2026 work plan: First, focus on the pain point of relatively low per capita output value and proactively expand business operations; second, strictly control project quality and comprehensively upgrade detailed management standards; third, continuously enhance service awareness and win market recognition through high-quality, efficient services; fourth, adhere to innovation-driven development and promote digital and standardized design as well as multi-disciplinary collaborative synergy; fifth, adopt a results-oriented approach and accelerate the development of a high-caliber, expert-level talent pool.
Executive General Manager Cai Rui delivered a concluding speech. He fully affirmed the development efforts of the Public Utilities Equipment Branch and the Safety Assessment Center, and offered suggestions and insights on aspects such as management and technical training, professional qualifications, and business development. He pointed out that the Institute of Chemical Engineering is steadily advancing its general contracting business expansion and market-oriented transformation, which presents significant development opportunities for the Public Utilities Equipment Branch and the Safety Assessment Center. He encouraged everyone to unite their hearts and minds, face challenges head-on, and take practical actions with a sense of responsibility to help the Institute of Chemical Engineering become even better and stronger.
This seminar not only serves as a comprehensive review of our work for 2025 but also marks a new starting point for our development in 2026. All members of the Public Equipment Division and the Safety Assessment Center will take this conference as an opportunity to set clear goals, boldly embrace innovation, and deliver results through practical actions. With a pragmatic approach and enthusiastic spirit, we will fully commit ourselves to the work of the coming year, deepen collaborative development, and contribute even greater strength to the high-quality development of the Institute of Chemical Engineering.
