To thoroughly implement the Chemical Engineering Institute’s strategic plan for 2026 and further align thinking and build consensus, following the Institute’s 2026 Development Seminar and Work Conference, the Chemical Engineering Institute organized a symposium on the development of its First and Second Chemical Engineering Divisions on February 11. Attendees included company leaders, representatives from the Business Planning Department, heads of departments from the First and Second Chemical Engineering Divisions, and team leaders from various specialized fields.

At the symposium, responsible persons from Chemical Engineering Divisions One and Two, along with heads of various specialized teams, actively shared their views on departmental management, deepening quality improvement and efficiency enhancement, and promoting high-quality development within the divisions. They put forward constructive suggestions on topics such as cultivating young colleagues in process engineering, strengthening quality and reengineering technology, optimizing processes, and boosting efficiency. The attending leaders listened carefully to each participant’s remarks and frequently responded to, guided, and assigned tasks related to key issues.
Executive General Manager Cai Rui fully affirmed everyone’s contributions to the department’s development and expressed his appreciation for the many constructive suggestions put forward by the team. Regarding issues of widespread concern—such as resource allocation, policy support, and process optimization—he instructed the relevant departments on-site to come up with feasible solutions, while urging the Party Committee leadership team to conduct in-depth research and make well-informed decisions, and to promptly formulate solutions or provide clear feedback.
In his concluding remarks, Lin Zhiyong, Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager, highly praised the outcomes of this development symposium, noting that the meeting had successfully achieved its objectives of communicating information, exchanging ideas, identifying problems, and pooling collective wisdom. He put forward three key requirements for all management personnel and technical backbones of the First and Second Institutes: First, further enhance political awareness and a sense of the bigger picture, integrating departmental work into the company’s overall strategic planning and execution, and ensuring that the chemical engineering institute’s leading process specialties take center stage; second, further strengthen the building of execution capabilities, resolutely implementing established goals and seeing them through to completion; third, further reinforce collaboration and innovation, breaking down departmental barriers, taking proactive initiatives, boldly exploring new approaches and models, and jointly addressing challenges.

The convening of this symposium has further clarified the key priorities and directions for the next phase of work at Chemical Engineering Institutes One and Two. Management personnel from the institutes unanimously expressed their commitment to swiftly convey and implement the spirit of the symposium, rallying and leading departmental staff with greater enthusiasm, a more pragmatic approach, and more robust measures, so as to energetically achieve all the annual targets and tasks for 2026 and contribute to the sustained, high-quality development of the Institute of Chemical Engineering!
