On December 22, Luo Qiang, Deputy Director of the Changsha Municipal Science and Technology Bureau, along with relevant officials from the Yuhua District Science and Technology Bureau, visited the Institute of Chemical Engineering to exchange views on topics such as technological innovation and the reporting and statistical collection of enterprise R&D expenses. Luo Qiang first introduced the purpose of this visit, gaining a detailed understanding of the company’s production and operations, talent recruitment, R&D investment, and other related aspects. He also expressed high appreciation for the R&D work conducted by the Institute of Chemical Engineering. He emphasized that total societal R&D expenditure is an important indicator for measuring the scale and level of independent innovation investment, and encouraged enterprises to increase their R&D investments, enhance the standardization and effectiveness of R&D data collection, and improve the quality of R&D statistics. At present, we are in a critical period for completing the annual reports on enterprise R&D activities. The government will strengthen its guidance on standardizing R&D investment, effectively improve the quality of statistical data, ensure that the data accurately reflect reality, fully cover all eligible entities, and truthfully portray the scale of enterprises’ scientific and technological activities as well as their innovative achievements.
At the symposium, Cai Rui warmly welcomed Deputy Director Luo Qiang and his delegation for their visit and guidance. He expressed gratitude for the long-term care and support provided by the Municipal Science and Technology Bureau and the District Science and Technology Bureau to the company. He emphasized that scientific research has always been the company’s top priority and driving force behind its commitment to high-quality development. The company will continue to step up its efforts and increase investment in scientific research, with a particular focus on transforming scientific and technological achievements into productive forces. During the meeting, Zhou Nianan gave a detailed presentation on the company’s ongoing scientific research activities, as well as its R&D investments and the commercialization of research results.
