Pu The moonlight flows, the Dragon Boat Festival is approaching. In May, Changsha's air is filled with the aroma of zongzi leaves. The Dongtang employee cafeteria of China Energy Engineering Group Hunan Institute had already hung up mugwort and dragon boat-themed decorations. On May 28th, this long-awaited "FUN Zong Yi Xia" national style food festival arrived with the aroma of cooking, meeting the anticipation of all employees! In this food festival, all employees of the chemical engineering institute were arranged for a special session at noon to savor a culinary feast.
This year's food festival takes the Dragon Boat Festival as its theme and various regional cuisines as its core, weaving a summer elegance. The food is divided into seven themed areas: Boiling World, Ice Drink Realm, Sweet Journey, Carbohydrate Empire, Spicy Adventure, Roasted Gold, and Fruity Star. From the spicy and delicious crayfish to the fragrant roast beef and mutton; from refreshing ice drinks and fresh fruits to exquisite and soft desserts; there are also fried spring rolls, braised pig's trotters, flavored snails, sesame pig's blood, and other unique snacks. A team of skilled chefs prepared dishes on-site, stir-frying, steaming, braising, and boiling, bringing everyone a double enjoyment of sight and taste.
Luo Zhiqiang and Luo Zhi Di, deputy general managers of Hunan Institute, also came to the cafeteria and interacted frequently with the employees of the chemical engineering institute. "The food festival is meant to make everyone feel at home." This statement reveals the true meaning of the event—when Shaanxi cold noodles meet Qianjiang crayfish, Guangxi sour food meets Xinjiang mutton skewers, Hunan Institute's wanderers taste the flavors of home. Colleagues share not only food, but also the "small happiness" of life, the emotional connection activated by delicious food, and the culture and warmth of Hunan Institute.
