To further consolidate the achievements of the post-project review of the 81,000-ton caustic soda relocation project of Jiangmen Guangyue Electrochemicals Co., Ltd., from March 21st to 22nd, Li Zhenhua, director of the Planning and Architecture Institute, led a team to the project site for a two-day on-site review and learning. Gong Hui, deputy general manager of the Chemical Engineering Institute, and Jiang Huan, project manager, provided on-site guidance.
On the first day, under the guidance of the on-site general contractor management personnel, the entire team went deep into the site to inspect the implementation of the design results. The focus was on verifying on-site the content mentioned in the previous post-project review summary, such as the size of reserved bolt holes, temporary support for external pipe racks, the height of the waterproof counter-slope on the roof, the size of building doors and windows, and the reserved clearance for cranes. Through communication with the site, we learned aboutthe difficulties and pain points of construction, summarized experience and lessons learned, and accumulated engineering experience.
On the second day, the team exchanged ideas with the supervisors and construction units in the on-site meeting room, answering questions about the site one by one. All members shared their thoughts and insights on the two-day on-site learning, and proposed areas for optimization in the future design process based on the on-site post-project review. They stated that they would further implement unified measures within their respective professions, strengthen inter-professional learning, actively solve problems, and choose more reasonable and economical solutions.
Deputy General Manager Gong Hui welcomed the post-project review learning of the Planning and Architecture Institute, pointing out that designers should give full consideration in the early stages, think about problems from the perspective of the overall project, strengthen cooperation and communication between various professions, and further improve themselves. Project Manager Jiang Huan gave full affirmation to this on-site learning, stating that it has practical significance for improving design quality, and emphasized that designers should enhance their service awareness and promptly address on-site issues.
Through this on-site learning, using a "post-project review + practice" approach, the project's post-project review results were further consolidated, effectively promoting the improvement and efficiency of design services. The Planning and Architecture Institute carefully summarized its experience, fully realizing that it should consider problems from a global perspective, strengthen inter-professional communication, address urgent on-site needs, pool wisdom, and optimize design work, making the design more closely aligned with on-site construction and installation, and laying a solid foundation for the subsequent project development!
