The meeting was chaired by Tang Lin, Deputy Chief Engineer and Vice President of the Chemical Engineering and Pharmaceutical Institute. More than 40 people attended the meeting, including Kang Wenbin, vice president of the Chemical Engineering and Pharmaceutical Institute, Zhong Yanming, director of the Public Utilities Equipment Institute, middle-aged and young technical backbones of the Chemical Engineering and Pharmaceutical Institute, and personnel from the thermal engineering, external pipeline, and HVAC departments of the Public Utilities Equipment Institute.

At the meeting, Tang Lin, deputy chief engineer and deputy director of the Chemical Engineering and Pharmaceutical Institute, first shared the investigation report of a fire accident at a large chemical plant in China, emphasizing that design work must be approached with reverence, and it is imperative to be humble, cautious, and eager to learn; then systematically expounded on the significance of selecting the Yihua project as a quality analysis sample. As a key project for insurance powder, a flagship product of the Chemical Engineering Institute, this project adopts a refined division of labor model that separates process and piping engineering. Establishing a standardized cross-professional cooperation mechanism will be the key to enhancing core competitiveness. By dissecting the full-process design experience of the benchmark project, it can not only provide technical reference for subsequent projects but also help young designers grow rapidly in professional collaboration.
Then, nine members of the Yihua project piping team, including He Zhipeng, Yang Yi, Yan Ziling, Feng Jin, Ren Yu yang, Hu Xiaoxiao, Jin Yingshan, Li Mengjie, and Qu Rao, who participated in the 3D piping of the Yihua project, shared and summarized their experiences from aspects such as pre-communication and exchange with upstream and downstream professionals, data confirmation, problems encountered and solutions during the piping process, and drawing experience. Some shared the necessary preparations before piping, some shared operational skills and precautions during the piping process, some suggested strengthening coordination among professionals during the piping process, and some provided experience on how to conduct high-quality verification and drawing after piping modeling. Qu Rao from the external piping professional put forward specific and detailed requirements for the external piping conditions and piping interfaces for process piping personnel.
Zhong Yanming, director of the Public Utilities Institute, stated that more joint training with the Chemical Engineering and Pharmaceutical Institute should be conducted, pointing out that this sharing meeting was of great significance, and the design personnel of various departments within the institute benefited greatly. He also requested that various departments within the institute strengthen the learning and application of relevant knowledge of 3D software and actively participate in the development of inter-professional 3D coordination.
Kang Wenbin, deputy director of the Chemical Engineering and Pharmaceutical Institute, pointed out that the experience sharing and summary of 3D piping this time was timely. Through the review of project problems and experience accumulation, the department's 3D piping level will be greatly improved, injecting strong impetus into the continuous improvement of the design quality of the Chemical Engineering Institute. He also requested that the process engineering department strengthen coordination among various departments, and subsequently summarize and share experiences again based on problems encountered during the construction of the Yihua project. At the same time, he emphasized that designers must change their mindset, improve their technical level and quality, and meet the increasingly high requirements of constructors and contractors for design work.
Quality is the lifeline of an enterprise and the foundation for the survival and development of the Chemical Engineering Institute. Every project should be shared and summarized so that good experiences can be learned from each other and problems encountered can be avoided from recurring.
