The footsteps of the Year of the Snake have quietly approached. As the festive atmosphere grows stronger, everyone is immersed in the joy of the upcoming Spring Festival. The work at the chemical engineering institute's general contracting project site is in full swing, adhering to the concept of 'sprinting from the start.' Colleagues from the general contracting management department and relevant design departments are stationed at the project front line, fulfilling their duties to ensure the smooth progress of various general contracting projects, laying a solid foundation for the timely operation of the projects.
1. The construction project of the Huangjiao Ditch Sewage Treatment Plant in Renhuai City is a key livelihood project in Guizhou Province and an important part of the liquor industry in Renhuai City.The project is located in Maotai Town, covering an area of 46.37 acres, and is contracted by China Energy Construction Hunan Institute. The construction method is PC+O (Construction-Purchase-Operation). The sewage treatment capacity is 4000m3/d, including 3000m3/d of liquor wastewater and 1000m3/d of domestic sewage. Currently, the overall progress is 94%, with all main structures of the plant completed, 80% of the equipment installation completed, and it has entered the preliminary debugging stage.


2. The EPC general contracting project for the annual production of 81,000 tons of caustic soda by Jiangmen Guangyue Electrochemical Co., Ltd.Located in the Xinhui District of Jiangmen City, the project plans to invest 1.1 billion yuan, with a total land area of 190 acres. The project adopts the leading ion membrane method for caustic soda production, with main products including: caustic soda, hydrochloric acid, sodium hypochlorite, AC foaming agent, chlorinated paraffin, etc. The project plans to build more than thirty individual buildings, including an electrolysis workshop, hydrochloric acid workshop, chlorine treatment, waste chlorine treatment workshop, sodium hypochlorite workshop, chlorinated paraffin workshop, control building, comprehensive building, comprehensive warehouse, and tank area. Upon completion, it will achieve a production capacity of 81,000 tons/year of caustic soda and corresponding by-products of 150,000 tons/year of hydrochloric acid, 350,000 tons/year of sodium hypochlorite, 20,000 tons/year of chlorinated paraffin, and 2000 tons/year of high-purity hydrogen. After reaching production capacity, it is expected to achieve an annual output value of 900 million yuan. Currently, the main structure of the civil works for the main plant has been basically completed, and the supporting water tanks, pump rooms, and sewage rooms are being excavated for foundations, while the rest has entered the decoration stage. The fiberglass tanks, stainless steel tanks, and carbon steel tanks in the tank area have begun on-site production, and the equipment that has arrived and is ready for installation has been basically hoisted into place.


3. The construction project of the Chishui Xiangnengjian Industrial Sewage Treatment Plant.Independently invested and constructed by China Energy Construction Hunan Institute, the project has a treatment capacity of 800t/d for high-concentration liquor wastewater, with a total investment of 89 million yuan and an area of 53 acres, with a total building area of 2800 square meters. The treatment process adopts our institute's proprietary technology 'New Process for Treating Sauce-flavored Liquor Wastewater' and 'Multi-stage Coupling Electrochemical Technology.' Currently, the civil engineering has been fully completed, and equipment installation is 80% complete, with plans to start inflow debugging in February 2025 and complete debugging and meet standards by May 2025.


4. The construction project of the Huangping Liquor Industrial Park.The total scale is 2000 t/d, with an overall plan for three phases: Phase I 600 t/d (investment 60.18 million yuan), Phase II 600 t/d (investment 60.38 million yuan). Phase I of the project is designed with an 1800m3 regulating pool, a 1000m3 accident water tank, one 700m3 hydrolysis acidification tower, two anaerobic towers with a total capacity of 3500m3, as well as AO biochemical treatment pools and deep treatment systems. Phase II of the project increases the volume of anaerobic towers and electromagnetic scale prevention devices based on the actual operation of Phase I and the high-concentration wastewater from the distillery, replacing the MBR and deep treatment systems of the AO pool with ultrafiltration + nanofiltration systems to achieve standard discharge and reduce operating costs. The construction of the standard tail water pipeline network is expected to start in September 2024, with completion by the end of October 2024, and the environmental assessment acceptance by the Qiandongnan Prefecture Environmental Protection Bureau expected to be completed in November. The progress of Phase II will depend on the construction progress of the Huangping Distillery.


5. Indonesia PRI 192 TPD Hydrogen Peroxide EPS Project.This is a raw material supporting project for PT. Phoenix Resources International's BCTMP pulp production line. The project is located on Balikpapan Island in North Kalimantan Province, Indonesia, and the chemical engineering institute provides EPS (design + procurement + technical guidance) services for this project. The production scale of the project is to produce 192 tons of hydrogen peroxide per day at 100% concentration. Since the contract was signed, the project team has conducted innovative designs and repeated optimizations in various aspects such as process flow, equipment selection, and overall layout, providing a solid foundation for the smooth startup of the facility. Currently, the hydrogen peroxide facility constructed for this project has entered trial production, and the load has been increased to 70% of the design capacity as planned, with the goal of reaching full production by March 2025.
