Recently, the group standard for green ammonia titled "Technical Requirements for Integrated Multi-Stable Flexible Ammonia Synthesis Technology of Wind and Solar Hydrogen Storage" (T/CITS133-2024), which was compiled by the Chemical Institute, has been officially released and implemented. This marks that the domestic multi-stable flexible ammonia synthesis process has become one of the important technical routes for the consumption of wind and solar renewable energy in hydrogen production and ammonia synthesis. It also provides a common technical specification and requirements for research design units, production enterprises, and investors involved in the development, engineering design, and production operation of multi-stable flexible processes for hydrogen production through water electrolysis using wind and solar renewable energy, hydrogen storage, and the integrated project using the Haber-Bosch process for ammonia synthesis.
This standard proposes specific technical requirements based on the principles of feasibility, safety, and economy, covering the overall technical architecture as well as the relevant process technologies, scheduling control technologies, and safety technologies for the hydrogen production section, hydrogen storage section, and ammonia synthesis section. It provides necessary technical standards and specifications for the research, design, and production operation of hydrogen production and ammonia synthesis using wind and solar renewable energy.
The full participation in the preparation and release of this standard is one of the manifestations of the Chemical Institute's achievements in technical research and development in this field during the earlier period.
