Recently, the Institute of Chemical Engineering has achieved another milestone in expanding its presence in the hydrogen peroxide market under the “specialized, refined, distinctive, and innovative” framework, securing contracts for two consecutive hydrogen peroxide projects: a 400,000‑ton‑per‑year hydrogen peroxide plant for Jiantao (Hengyang) Industrial Co., Ltd., and a 200,000‑ton‑per‑year project for Guangxi Huatai Huayou Chemical New Materials Co., Ltd. These successive project wins further underscore the Institute’s technological strengths and market recognition in the hydrogen peroxide sector, reinforcing its leading position in the industry’s engineering‑scale implementation.
Core technologies are industry-leading, and fluidized-bed technology offers distinct advantages. Both hydrogen peroxide projects signed this time employ the industry‑leading anthraquinone‑based fluidized‑bed technology. Compared with the conventional fixed‑bed process, this technological route offers distinct advantages across multiple dimensions: a shorter process flow and fewer pieces of equipment; a single pump controls the main process, making start‑up and shutdown operations more convenient and efficient; lower capital investment and reduced raw material consumption, resulting in significantly lower overall production costs than traditional methods; superior product quality, with outstanding performance in key indicators such as total carbon, total phosphorus, total salts, and total non‑volatile matter, ensuring reliable quality assurance; a streamlined plant design and a high degree of automation, substantially enhancing intrinsic safety; and excellent environmental performance, with wastewater recyclability, minimal solid waste generation, and low aromatic hydrocarbon consumption—fully aligning with the requirements of green chemical development.
With deep expertise in the hydrogen peroxide sector and a wealth of engineering experience, the Chemical Engineering Institute has established itself as a leading technical force in China’s hydrogen peroxide industry. To date, it has successfully completed more than 30 turnkey projects and engineering designs for hydrogen peroxide plants, continuously refining and upgrading its process technologies and solutions. Representative projects include the Golden Eagle Group’s 220,000‑ton‑per‑year hydrogen peroxide plant in Indonesia under the PRI framework, the RAPP Kolingzi 180‑TPD hydrogen peroxide project in Indonesia (with an annual capacity of 220,000 tons), the Dashing Chemical hydrogen peroxide project in Tiandong, Guangxi, the Sinopec Changling Branch’s 100,000‑ton‑per‑year industrial pilot plant for producing propylene oxide via the hydrogen peroxide process (producing 300,000 tons per year of 27.5% hydrogen peroxide), the Henan Hongda Chemical 150,000‑ton‑per‑year hydrogen peroxide project, the Inner Mongolia Dakang Industrial 100,000‑ton‑per‑year hydrogen peroxide project, the Jiangxi Lantai Chemical Co., Ltd. 150,000‑ton‑per‑year hydrogen peroxide project, the Dayang Dongyang Electrochemical Plant’s 80,000‑ton‑per‑year hydrogen peroxide technical upgrade (expanding from 80,000 to 140,000 tons), and the Guizhou Kaidisen Weng’an County comprehensive hydrogen peroxide project, among many other large‑scale hydrogen peroxide projects. Indonesia’s RAPP Kolinji 180‑TPD hydrogen peroxide project is a key initiative for advancing the export of green, Belt and Road‑aligned hydrogen peroxide technology and equipment. It is also a priority project under Hunan Province’s strategy for fostering overseas investment and cooperation. The project employs the Chemical Engineering Institute’s proprietary “New Process—Engineering Design for Hydrogen Peroxide Production under Fully Acidic Working Conditions,” which was awarded the First Prize in the Industrial Engineering category at the 2025 Hunan Provincial Outstanding Engineering Survey and Design Awards. Extensive project experience has laid a solid foundation for continuous technological iteration, process package optimization, and the enhancement of engineering reliability and stability.

Innovation drives development, and process technologies are continuously iterated. As a provincial-level chemical engineering design institute, a specialized, refined, distinctive, and innovative enterprise, and a provincial industry–education integration “joint graduate training base,” the Chemical Engineering Institute boasts strong, time-honored technical expertise and a deep-rooted technological heritage. Its related technologies are distinctly characterized by specialization, refinement, distinctiveness, and innovation, with clear competitive advantages. The Institute also operates three key technology‑innovation platforms: the Hunan Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology’s “Provincial Enterprise Technology Center,” the Changsha Municipal Science and Technology Bureau’s “Municipal Electrochemical Energy Storage Materials Technology Innovation Center,” and the Changsha Municipal Development and Reform Commission’s “Municipal Enterprise Technology Center.” Throughout the project design process, the Institute adheres to the principles of “safety design as the top priority, green design as the core philosophy, innovative design as the core competitiveness, and intelligent design as the direction of development.” The company has built up deep technical expertise in the reliability, applicability, and safety of hydrogen peroxide production processes, as well as in the technical soundness and cutting-edge nature of these technologies and in the “specialized, refined, distinctive, and innovative” attributes of various process routes. In particular, it has amassed extensive engineering experience through project engineering design, process package optimization, and EPC execution for hydrogen peroxide facilities. The recent consecutive contract awards for fluidized‑bed‑based hydrogen peroxide projects represent high recognition of the Chemical Engineering Institute’s technological roadmap and its engineering service capabilities, and will further strengthen its commitment to advancing in the hydrogen peroxide sector, delivering more efficient, safer, and low‑carbon technology solutions to the industry.
