1. Expansion Project for Flotation Reagents at Fujian Zijinlong Chemical Co., Ltd.
Following the completion of the design for the Wukuang Changhua Technology project to produce 15,000 tons per year of mineral processing reagents and its imminent commissioning, the successful signing of this new project marks a significant breakthrough in the field of flotation reagent design. Located in Shanghang County, Longyan City, Fujian Province, the project covers approximately 85 mu of land and adds 5,000 t/a of ketoxime and 5,000 t/a of aldoxime capacity. Upon completion, total production capacity will increase to 10,000 t/a, fully meeting the robust and growing domestic demand for copper smelting, low-grade ore processing, recycling of secondary resources, and overseas mining operations. This project will break the technological and market monopoly held by leading international chemical giants in high-end copper extraction agents. Leveraging proprietary patented technologies, it will scale up the green production of ketoxime and aldoxime, establishing a domestically leading and globally competitive production base for oxime-based extractants, thereby achieving end-to-end independent control over core reagents used in hydrometallurgical processes.
The Wukang Changhua Technology project, with an annual production capacity of 15,000 tons of mineral processing reagents, is located within the Chemical Industry Park of the Jinshi High-Tech Industrial Development Zone in Hunan Province. The investor is the China Minmetals Changsha Institute of Mining and Metallurgy. The project covers a total land area of approximately 137 mu and will produce, on an annual basis, 15,000 tons of CYP-series fatty acid-based reagents, CY-series fatty acid-based reagents, CYW-series hydroxamic acid-based reagents, CYZ-series conditioning agents, CY-series collectors, and CYC-series sulfide ore flotation reagents, along with by-products sodium sulfate and methanol.
2 Pu Jie Fragrances (Hunan) Co., Ltd. Synthetic and Natural Fragrance and Food Additive Production Project.
This project is located in the Tongguan Chemical Industrial Zone of the Wangcheng Economic Development Zone in Changsha, with a total investment of approximately RMB 100 million. The investor, Pu Jie Fragrance (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., is a foreign-invested enterprise that originated as Shanghai Pu Jie Fragrance Co., Ltd., established in 1992. Over the past three decades, it has been engaged in the research and development, production, and sales of fragrance products. It serves as an executive director unit of the China Fragrance, Flavor & Cosmetic Industry Association and a vice‑chairman unit of the China Synthetic Fragrance Professional Committee; an executive director unit of the China Food Additives and Ingredients Association and a vice‑chairman unit of the China Edible Fragrance and Flavor Professional Committee; a vice‑president unit of the Shanghai Food Additives and Ingredients Association; and a member of the International Essential Oils and Fragrances Trade Association. Through technological innovation, this project will enhance product conversion rates, continuously refine its processes, and effectively reduce production costs. Upon completion, it will highlight the integration and synergy effects across the industry chain, achieving optimized resource allocation and efficient operations, thereby helping the “PU-JIE” brand establish itself as a century‑old Chinese fragrance brand and a globally recognized name.
3. Industrial Wastewater Treatment Plant Construction Project in the Shuangliu Area of Kaiyang County Industrial Park, Guizhou Province
This project is located in the Shuangliu Town area of the Kaiyang Industrial Park, Guiyang City, Guizhou Province. It involves the construction of a new industrial wastewater treatment plant with a design capacity of 60,000 m³/day, with a total investment of approximately RMB 490 million. As a core environmental protection infrastructure supporting the Kaiyang phosphorus–titanium–lithium‑iron‑phosphate new materials industry cluster, the project addresses wastewater characterized by complex compositional profiles, diverse pollutant types, and significant treatment challenges. It serves as a flagship initiative for the Chemical Research Institute’s strategic positioning in the southwestern region’s new‑energy, chemical, and environmental‑protection sectors, further expanding its track record in lithium‑battery and phosphate‑chemical wastewater treatment and strengthening its technological edge in the chemical‑environmental‑protection field. The project is being implemented in two contract sections: Section I comprises 4.3 km of influent collection pipelines and 43.2 km of effluent discharge networks; Section II includes facilities such as an emergency‑water storage tank, an equalization basin, a high‑efficiency sedimentation tank, influent‑monitoring buildings, effluent‑monitoring buildings, an activated‑carbon adsorption zone, a denitrification and disinfection tank, an effluent‑metering channel, auxiliary buildings, a sludge‑dewatering room, and a multi‑purpose administrative building.
The ongoing signing of a series of distinctive process‑technology projects reflects the Chemical Research Institute’s sustained efforts to deepen market penetration, drive growth, establish technological leadership and build its brand, while proactively delivering value through robust technical services. Rooted in Hunan and extending nationwide, the Institute centers its development on a dual‑core business model of “energy + chemicals,” supported by surveying and design and engineering general contracting as its “one body, two wings” pillars.
