On February 6, to thoroughly implement the spirit of the 2026 Work Conference of China Energy Engineering Group Hunan Institute and to help the Chemical Engineering Institute get off to a good start during the 14th Five-Year Plan period, thereby promoting high-quality development in 2026, the Chemical Engineering Institute held a 2026 Development Seminar. More than 40 participants, including members of the institute’s leadership team, heads and deputy heads of various departments, and department assistants, attended the meeting, which was chaired by Lin Zhiyong, Party Secretary and General Manager.

On February 6, to thoroughly implement the spirit of the 2026 Work Conference held by the Hunan Institute of China Energy Engineering Corporation, to help the Chemical Engineering Institute get off to a good start during the 15th Five-Year Plan period, and to promote high-quality development in 2026, the Chemical Engineering Institute convened a 2026 Development Seminar. More than 40 participants, including members of the institute’s leadership team, heads and deputy heads of various departments, and department assistants, attended the meeting, which was chaired by Lin Zhiyong, Party Secretary and General Manager.
At the development seminar, each department presented reports on its 2025 work in production, operations, and management, analyzed the key issues encountered, and proposed improvement measures. They also outlined their key priorities for 2026, focusing on actual production management practices, management approaches, and team-building efforts. The company’s senior leaders in charge provided comments and analyses on the presentations, offering suggestions and insights on departmental production management and the 2026 key work plans.
Executive General Manager Cai Rui expressed his approval of the work reports and deployment plans submitted by various departments. He emphasized that the entire institute must thoroughly implement the spirit and content of this meeting. At present, in order to deepen internal reforms and strengthen goal-oriented approaches—particularly in planning for the 15th Five-Year Plan period—the Institute of Chemical Engineering must proactively adapt to changing times, market fluctuations, and evolving capacity-building needs, and steadily advance institutional and personnel reforms. He put forward three key requirements for leading cadres: First, strictly prohibit formalism and bureaucratic practices; leading cadres must set an example by taking the lead and charging ahead; second, focus on the essence of development, emphasize facts and truthfulness; and third, face difficulties and problems squarely, engage in thoughtful self-reflection and summarization, and continuously strive for improvement.
Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager Lin Zhiyong delivered a concluding speech, affirming the achievements made by all departments in 2025. He stated that the accomplishments the Institute of Chemical Engineering has achieved in recent years are indeed commendable, and urged everyone to remain confident, continue to forge ahead with determination, and overcome difficulties with perseverance. He also put forward the following requirements: First, we must be pragmatic and pioneering, work hard and tenaciously, and become “obsessive” and “passionate” advocates in our industry; second, Party members and cadres should take the lead and set an exemplary example; third, all departments should cultivate a work ethic characterized by "saying what you mean, deciding what you’ll do, and seeing it through," thereby propelling the Institute of Chemical Engineering to reach new heights in its development in 2026.
