On March 13, Liu Hongchao, Chief Engineer and Deputy General Manager of China Energy Engineering Corporation Hunan Institute, visited the Chemical Engineering Institute to conduct a work inspection. On March 13, Liu Hongchao, Chief Engineer and Deputy General Manager of China Energy Engineering Corporation Hunan Institute, visited the Chemical Engineering Institute to conduct a work inspection. Attending the meeting and engaging in exchanges were Li Hui, a senior executive of the Hunan Institute; Gu Xianghu, Director of the Strategic Development Department; Xie Bin, Director of the Science and Technology Information Department; and the leadership team of the Chemical Engineering Institute.

The research tour focused on the Chemical Engineering Institute’s recent development, as well as its 15th–16th Five-Year Strategic Plan and associated goals. Lin Zhiyong, Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager of the Institute, delivered a brief report on the Institute’s development journey, the evolution of its core businesses, market expansion, strategy-driven planning, technological innovation, talent development, and management improvement. Since joining the Hunan Academy of Sciences, the Institute has achieved steady growth in all key performance indicators. Under the strong leadership of the Party Committee of the Hunan Academy, the Institute has leveraged planning, consulting, and safety services for government and chemical parks; employed technological innovation as a driving force; actively promoted the internationalization of traditional processes; built a distinctive industry brand through differentiated development; and rigorously implemented the “One Core, Two Wings” development strategy, thereby continuing to achieve high-quality, leapfrog growth during the 15th–16th Five-Year Plan period. Other company leaders then provided supplementary remarks on their respective areas of responsibility.
Liu Hongchao expressed full affirmation of the achievements attained by the chemical research institutes. He emphasized that, as the Chemical Research Institute enters the 15th Five-Year Plan period, it must: first, continuously strengthen planning-led development and enhance the industry’s brand; second, deepen market expansion, maintain high-quality customer relationships, and steer the course of the market; third, improve corporate performance and ensure that production innovation delivers tangible results; fourth, optimize the institute’s management system and implement relevant measures; fifth, conduct in-depth strategic planning for development goals and effectively translate these strategies into action during the 15th Five-Year Plan period; and sixth, continually increase investment in scientific and technological innovation to elevate the institute’s competitive edge in science and technology and sustain high-quality development.
